Studio Time

Things seem to be going well for my team and myself.  We've finished 2 shoots this week and so far so good.  It doesn't even feel like work and it's amazing.  We have another engagement shoot coming up and some more headshots.  It doesn't feel like work when you love what you do.

If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life

Last night I got a taste of what I've been striving for for so long now.  Honestly it felt so good being behind the camera in a studio.  I know in the long run these small gains will lead to the ultimate success.  It will happen.

Photography | Cold Front

I took these while I was in Winnipeg for work in 2014.  I didn't really post them anywhere other than on my instagram account.  So since I'm reformatting (I guess) what I'm posting on here, I may as well back track a little bit to show you guys what type of photography I specialize in.  Which I can tell you right now that it's natural light portrait photography.  I'd consider it my strength.  My weakness or we can call it my opportunity is flash/strobe photography.  Thank goodness one of my business partners or both of them are better at it than I am.

We're a pretty good trio of photographers I'd have to say.  3 different styles.  We each have our own strengths.  As cheesy as it's going to sound.  We balance each other out and it works in favour of our business.

For the next couple of posts I will most likely be taking a trip through memory lane.

Roof Top in Rome : On Wednesdays We Wear Pink

These photos were taken during our trip to Europe.  About 2 months late.  I'm finally posting from the trip.  Rome was amazing.  Everything about it.  The city, the architecture, the people, the food, the historical sites.  It was an all around AMAZING trip.  Granted we didn't get much time to visit any other places that we were wanting to go to but there's always next time.  We're definitely going back.

I figured today was also a good time to post these pictures specifically since today was anti-bullying day.  Yes yes, I know I was supposed to wear pink today...  I did.  Just not this outfit.

I LOVE these sunnies!  So much so that I have them in all the colours available!

Going in a New Direction

It's time for a change.  I've been thinking of different ways to approach this blog.  I want to make it more relevant to what I do with my life.  As much as I'd love to continue this blog as a fashion/lifestyle blog, it's not the direction things are going.  I'm going to make a slight change and head into the direction of a Lifestyle/Photography blog.

I think it's the right direction to go with this blog.  I'm more or less just incorporating my photography into it.  I mean, I do own my own business and all.  So it kind of just makes sense that I take this path.

I've been shooting photos for a long time now.  I think since 2002.  I took photography courses in college that really helped me along.  I used to shoot film only and I think it was in 2007 or 2008 is when I actually bought my first DSLR the Canon t2i.  I was and still am a firm believer that it doesn't matter what type of camera you have to take an amazing photo.  High end, low end it doesn't matter.  I mean obviously quality does change but your vision is your vision and the outcome of your photo is up to you.

The following photos are all from when I first started taking photography a bit more seriously and was still shooting with film.

In the next couple of days I'll post some newer and latest works.
